All It Takes Is A Mustard Seed

John 15:5 - "Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches.  Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.  For apart from Me you can do nothing."

Keeping our hearts and minds focused on Christ and His plan for us, is what allows us to be fruitful in our lives.  His Spirit allows us to produce abundantly more than we could ever accomplish apart from Him.

When things get difficult and don't go the way we expect they should, it can be so hard to see God's plan in it.  But it's there!  We lose things, people, or jobs and wonder why God would do that.  Well, when you plant a fruit tree, and the fruit comes to bear on the branches, you pick it and put it to use.  Otherwise, it will weigh down and break off the branches.  But also by picking the fruit off, is it allows more fruit to grow in it's place.  If you pull off 2 apples, 3 or 4 are going to grow in it's place.

All we have to have to begin with, is a mustard seed's worth to begin with.  That is all Jesus needs to work with.  His plans for us are perfect and will produce abundant fruit in our lives and the lives of others.  He had it all planned out before we were even here (Psalm 139:16).  We just have to trust Him with the cultivating.  He will pull the fruit off before anything bad happens.  He will allow us to bend, but never break under the weight of things that need to go so we can be more fruitful.

Dear Abba Father, thank You for thinking of me before I was ever here.  Thank You for pruning and cultivating my tree so that I don't break under the weight of the bad, and am able to produce abundantly under Your care and guidance.  I pray for those that are struggling to see Your plan for them.  Those that are struggling to trust in Your plans.  I pray they will make the choice to surrender to You completely, and realize that You are directing every step of their way for great and mighty things for their lives and Your Kingdom.  In Jesus' name, Amen!

God Bless!!!
