Psalm 59:16 - But as for me, I will sing about Your power. I will shout for joy each morning because of Your unfailing love. For You have been my refuge, a place of safety in the day of distress.
David knew that while he was surrounded, the only refuge he had was God. God's love and protection of us is undeniable. He deserves our shouts of joy and praises.
Because of this passage, I will give God all the praise at the start of each day, because through Him alone, I owe everything. Especially His protection of me through the night.
Lord, I give You all the praise You deserve. I am nothing without Your protection and love, and I thank You for everything. Amen!
